Misty Country Road May 2 - 9 A special 7 day trip to Nevada to take in the wonders of the dessert. Arrived in Las Vegas and spent the first day taking in the sights and sounds of the Las Vegas strip. Tuesday I booked the Neon Museum for private fine art photo shoot. It was a real experience to see all the vintage historical signs and to have them at my disposal see the Neon Gallery. Wednesday was a shoot of some of the unique Las Vegas architecture, The New City Centre, The Gallery, The Cleveland Neurological Institute to list a few. Thursday we rented a helicopter and flew into the Grand Canyon. Our visit was couldn't have been timed better as all the cactus were in full bloom. Friday was spent in the dessert north east of Las Vegas at the Valley of Fire. A true wonder of earths strange but beautiful formations. Friday the meeting with Dale Chihuly at The Gallery. Saturday we visited Springs Preserve and Houver dam. fall_leaves_2 June June we returned to Las Vegas for our daughter Aynslie and Trents Wedding. I added in a two day shoot of the art sculptures of City Centre. and the New Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Bison at Sunrise July A visit to a ghost town in St Elizabeth Manitoba. A small abandoned town south east of Winnipeg. A trip to the Wind Generator Fields of St Leon Manitoba, very interesting to see the scale of these monsters. A hot unusual summer spawned many storms so storm chasing was a regular occurrence this summer. Another wedding shoot for our friends daughter Britt and fiancée Mark, a beautiful couple on a glorious day. A summer visit to McGilvery Falls in Eastern Manitoba. A long over due floral shoot at The English Garden in Winnipeg. Sept. A visit to Lake Superior and Thunder Bay for the fall colours. I'll head south to Duluth Minn. and take in Gooseberry Falls, Steep Rock and Ely to visit the Wolf Sanctuary.
