It's important to understand some of the processes that CSCS's photo art images receive before reaching the final print ready stage. Every subject is uniquely defined through this process, knowing it will ultimately become a canvas art print. This unique digital painting process is becoming CSCS's signature.

Before any processing is done, the photographs must be selected. Subjects are carefully chosen from hundreds of shots, some random, but most are field shoots intended to capture an event or subject. All the time searching for that illusive shot that captures the mood of the vision.

Back at the studio, once the image or images are chosen, the process begins. The selected photo goes through color correction and the cropping is done first thing. Now, utilizing PhotoShop cs, the painting process begins. There are approximately 15 to 20 separate steps, depending on the image and image size. Each digitizing step is calibrated to the specific image and every step is required to complete each photo art piece.

The goal is to have an image look like a photo at first glance, but, as you look more intently, you begin to see that there is more to it. It begins to look more like a painting in color and contrast, and if you get real close you'll find digitized brush strokes. CSCS always keeps in mind that the final print will be on canvas, where the texture of the canvas surface truly sets off each of these limited edition art pieces.
